       Entering high school is a pivotal turning point in everyone's life, and even though it's where some of the best memories can be made, every teen has their lows. Mine was acne.   An Overachiever's Guide To Slowing Down Taking the time to rest and reset can be hard, especially if you’re a productive person. Trust me, I know this better than anyone. As I go through my day, I often find myself obsessing over incomplete tasks and meticulously planning the order in which I have to finish them. Even though being a perfectionist is a good trait, the characteristics that come with this can be infuriating: obsession, overanalyzing, and anxiety. So here are a few simple habits that you can incorporate throughout your day to help give your racing mind a break! Meditation : Meditating is a great way to relax your nervous system and help calm all those crazy, intrusive thoughts.  The best part, there are tons of different forms. For beginners, I’d recommend starting with a guided meditation. These can be anywhere from five to thirty minutes, depending on what techniques are being used.
